Golden Bough Playhouse Renovation-Phase II

 

Phase II will strengthen a 14,300 square-foot building, fully renovate the 288-seat Golden Bough Theatre, create a new 800 square-foot lobby, and complete all interior enhancements, upgrades, and accessibility needs to reopen this historic theatre after a 4-year closure. 

 

Designed by renowned theater architect Richard McCann, all upgrades and enhancements have been addressed, from modern theatrical lighting, hi-tech sound and performance needs to new theatre seating, interior finishes, and expanded restrooms. Major infrastructure improvements will be added to include a new HVAC system, security, data and technology advancements, and all ADA accessibility requirements throughout the historic property. 

 

The revolving stage will be extended, and stadium seating will wrap around the stage as the original Golden Bough was first designed in 1924, enhancing audience immersion and clear vantage points from all seats.
